How to choose a trustworthy
memorial jeweller

What have you checked?
Something does not feel clear?
Open a topic for the questions worth asking.
Company status, trading history & VAT
Who is responsible for your order? Do company claims match official records? What experience can a new maker demonstrate? Non-VAT-registration or sole-trader status alone is not a warning sign.
PO Box, no telephone or no showroom
Where are ashes received and worked with? Do they have a dedicated UK telephone number where you can speak to their team? Is an in-person appointment or video consultation option available? Visit the EverWith showroom or contact our team.
Few reviews or limited social media
Can you find independent customer experiences and examples of genuine work? Look for unresolved patterns rather than focusing on follower numbers.
Extra costs: postage, artwork and optional extras
Check what is included in the advertised price. Ask about postage for sending ashes and receiving your finished jewellery, artwork preparation, engraving and any other optional extras. Make sure you know the total cost before placing your order. See our delivery information and ordering process.
Warranty, professional resizing and refurbishment
Does the company offer a written warranty? Check its duration, coverage and exclusions. Ask whether professional resizing or refurbishment is available for your chosen design, who carries out the work and what it costs. Check how the ashes-containing part will be protected. Not every design can be resized. Explore our care and refurbishment service.
NAJ, NAFD and other membership claims
Verify the current membership and its category with the organisation. Membership is not automatically accreditation of ashes-handling procedures.
